I’m a Temp at a Horror Theater

After much effort, Lin Ling lands a great temporary job at a movie theater. The pay is good, the work is light, and it’s close to home. Best of all, she can immerse herself in life for free. Tired or sleepy? Put on The Old School Dorm Matron, where a kind auntie makes a bed for her late at night. Heartwarming stuff! Her coworker: “Aaaah! That’s the dorm matron who slaughtered countless people!” Want to raise a little one? Put on The Single Mother. The baby has six eyes and eight legs, but it’s so fluffy, and petting it is the greatest joy ever. Her coworker: “That’s the final boss monster!!” Not only does Lin Ling have a wonderful time, her quality of life also improves by leaps and bounds. The chosen employee has a goal: as long as the theater stays open, she’ll keep milking it for all it’s worth! Her coworker trembles. “...Is it possible that these aren’t incredibly realistic AR movies at all, but real horror worlds with a 99.99999% mortality rate?!”
