Moments before the solar system collapsed, engineer Haofei came into contact with the only alien species - the wreckage of an ancient tree-shaped spacecraft from the "Tree Realm". This is not a cold mechanical creation, but a living "tree boat" with a will. With logic that Haofei couldn't understand, it signed a cold survival contract with him: it provided a way home across the sea of ​​stars, and he had to offer fuel and loyalty to this hungry giant ship. As a result, the last fire of human civilization rode on this rotten tree burning nuclear energy and fell into the outermost layer of the tree realm - the membrane realm.
