Chronological Transcript: My Worldview Was Shattered at the Beginning

Time is an efficient "narrative algorithm" and "compression format" that evolution has given to human consciousness to understand, remember and predict the universe composed of countless discrete and directionless "changing events". If time (past and future) is not a territory waiting to be explored, but the ongoing interpretation and weaving of information by consciousness in the present, then does "free will" still exist?
