Starlight Across the Shore

"Starlight Across the Shore" is an elegy for youth dedicated to the anti-epidemic era. The work uses the love story of young nurse Liu Wanqing and doctor Chen Mo as its warp and weft, weaving a long scroll of anti-epidemic full of blood, tears and hope. When the epidemic broke the engagement, Liu Wanqing rushed to the front line and persisted in the sweltering heat and indentations of the protective clothing, eventually carving her life into a white monument; while Chen Mo was thousands of miles away, watching day and night to complete the longest engagement. The novel looks at the sacrifice and tenacity of individuals through the fate of a pair of lovers being swept away by the torrent of the times, and records the faces that are scarred by masks but still smile. It not only writes about how love is tempered into eternity in isolation, but also engraves the common memories of a generation: about farewell, about waiting, and about the courage to rebuild life on the ruins. When the magnolia blooms year after year, someone stays in the spring forever, and love and memory will eventually grow new roots in the broken place.
