Twelve Cities in the Starry Sky

In 2046, the earth's environment deteriorated, and competition for resources led to human wars, and human civilization was almost destroyed. The surface was barely viable after the war. Humanity used its remaining technological capabilities to build a floating city in the air using steel. The floating city is supported by tens of thousands of huge steel pipes. The main body of the city hangs high above the stratosphere and is a fully enclosed steel structure. The huge air filtering device filters the oxygen in the lower floors and supplies it to the citizens. The first floating city was built in 2076 and can accommodate a population of 100 million. Over the next 30 years, humans built 12 floating cities around the earth's surface, and all humans immigrated to the cities. According to reports in 2110, there are no humans living on the surface of the earth. Looking into the sky from the surface of the earth, the densely packed floating cities look like stars, and pipelines of different colors connect them together. The once-famous philosopher and poet Vincent Pacino followed the steel workers to the surface.
