Eerie Descent: I Bear the Power of a Hundred Thousand Demon Gods

In Year 37 of the Earthfall Era, the underworld collapsed and the laws shattered. This is a world where “weight” determines life and death. Longing for the dead can get you swallowed by the earth under the weight of your memories. Reciting scripture can crush your skull under the sheer volume of knowledge. Caught in the cracks between the laws, all living beings carefully cut away their memories in the hope of staying alive. Only Shen Du walks against the current across the wasteland. He is a nameless “empty shell,” yet he bears a pitch-black iron prison called “Demon Subduer.” The prison has nine floors, sealing away a hundred thousand horrors. Every step makes his bones groan; every monster he suppresses adds a thousand jun to his burden. Someone once asked him why he didn’t put it down. Shen Du tightened the chains cutting into his flesh and looked at the twisting road to the Yellow Springs ahead. “Because this world is as weightless as a feather. Someone has to be as heavy as a mountain.” This is the story of a coffin bearer who measures the arcane with his own body and reforges the cycle of reincarnation.
