However, when the family was at its peak, a "golden doll" actually appeared in the treasury - this object was gilded and could speak and move well. It was a source of wealth and a curse. The spiritual creature's journey to the south implicated Xuanhuapo from Zhili and settled in the Zhang family, thus starting a century-old wealth legend that spanned the Ming and Qing dynasties and ran through Shanxi and Hebei. This book uses the real ancient stele of Henan Temple (Mituo Temple) in Zhuolu as a wedge, and combines textual research from local chronicles with centuries-old oral narratives to reconstruct a grand narrative that interweaves historical reality and folk fantasy.
