Spring Passes Silently

In the late autumn of 1999 in Nanjing, Lin Mo, a freshman in the Department of Architecture, met Chen Wan, a girl in art history, in the library. Two lonely souls are drawn to each other by their shared search for beauty and meaning. He dreams of building "living buildings", and she wants to find the world in the eyes of her mother who died young from art history. However, the heavy pressure of reality forced Lin Mo to go to Shenzhen after graduating from college. In the struggle to say goodbye and retain, the crucial "I love you" was said too late, becoming the silent end of youth. Twenty years passed by. Lin Mo settled down in secular life, while Chen Wan walked alone on the academic road. Until an old warehouse renovation project in Nanjing made Lin Mo return to his hometown, where he discovered an old map left by Chen Wan and the sentence "There are some roads, we have to walk each of them". In this reunion after many years, there was no storm, only a conversation as calm as a deep stream. They were finally able to face the cowardice, regrets and deep understanding of the past that never really disappeared. This is not a story of reconciliation. It tells the story that some people and love are not for possession, but to light up each other's life journey. Those unfinished words and untaken roads will eventually be internalized into the power of growth.
