Purple Heaven

Three middle school students were swept into the eye of the most intense storm in the late Qing Dynasty - the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom - by the whirlpool of fate. In this harsh paradise where "men and women are separated into separate libraries and marriage is prohibited", the modern soul collides head-on with the cruel and chaotic world. A man comes from a humble background and loses his love. In a desperate situation, he risks everything to climb up, just to regain his love and earn a stable life for the rest of his life. A man bears the blood feud of annihilating his family. He hides under the enemy's command and is willing to be a pawn, just to destroy this illusory "kingdom of heaven" from the source. The former classmates took completely opposite paths at the fork in history: one side wanted to save this crumbling utopia, while the other vowed to completely burn it down. When ideals turn into paranoia, when salvation and destruction become two sides of the same coin, how can they protect each other in the huge waves of the times, and can they find the way to take everyone home?
