Their hearts are like a furnace of ice and coal. The old people of the Spring and Autumn Period used novels as boats to sail against the flow of time, performing a silent "salvage". Twelve faces were salvaged: Founder, criminal master, reformist, Machiavellian, prisoner, prime minister... They shape the times with iron laws, but they themselves are cast or shattered by the times. There are only two methods: 1. The bones come from bamboo slips: all major events are carved in the annals of history. 2. Flesh and blood comes from logic: all silence is filled with the technology, common sense and human feelings of the times. So what you see is not "Legalism", but lonely people in the eye of the storm who are trying their best to bring the world into orbit. This is the "Dharma". This is a forgotten, human epic.
