No. 117 Zhongshan Road, a tube building from the 1980s, is like a rusty patch on the city's body. The water pipe burst at 3:17 in the morning, and the turbid rusty water submerged Lin Xiaoxiao's costume and dreams in Room 207. It also opened up the dusty past of Chen Jianguo, the old technician in Room 305, and made Wu Peng, the programmer of 205, start using code logic to calculate the remaining value of the building. A sudden water leak forced three unrelated people from the fringes of the city to squeeze into a dry living room. A cruel equation lies before them: on one side are pipes that are about to be completely corroded, demolition notices that may be posted at any time, and neighbors who are silent or calculating; on the other side are the little things they each need to protect - the dignity of craftsmanship, a rooted luxury, and a failed retreat.
