Hong Kong Films: Undercover? For Three Thousand a Month, Why Risk My Life?

After transmigrating into a parallel Hong Kong crime world, Chen Piao becomes an undercover cop.

Being undercover is bad enough, but of all people, he ends up working for Huang Zhicheng.

Three years, then another three. After helping the police bring down the Ni family, Huang Zhicheng shamelessly rejects Chen Piao's request to return to the force. Claiming he needs to maintain order in Tsim Sha Tsui, he sends Chen Piao to keep infiltrating Wo Shing Wo!

They won't let him return? Perfect. How much can a cop earn in a month, anyway?

Years later, when an O Bureau chief finds Chen Piao with a file and sternly orders him back to the force, Chen Piao flicks a cigar right into his face.

“I suggest you get our respective positions straight. I'm now the honorary chairman of the Hong Kong Island Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Legislative Council. The money I donate to your police force every year is enough to keep your entire O Bureau running!

Even your commissioner has to greet me with ‘Good day, Mr. Chen!’

And now you show up with some file and accuse me of being an undercover cop? Stand up straight when you talk to me!”
