Hundreds of Years of Light and Shadow

The novel takes Changle Village, Wangyun Township, Meishan County, Jiangnan as the geographical background. Through the ups and downs of three generations of four major families, Xu Haoyun, Xu Bainian, Jin Yaozu, and Wang Ruiqiang, it shows the historical changes of China from the late Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the 21st century. Adopting a multi-line parallel narrative structure, the four major families not only have their own destiny trajectories, but also intertwine with each other at key historical nodes, forming a symphony of destiny in the torrent of the times.
