The Guiyi Army: Reviving the Great Tang from Dunhuang

In 907, Zhu Wen usurped the Tang throne. Zhang Chengfeng, military governor of the Guiyi Army in the northwest, declared the founding of the Western Han Jinshan Kingdom. Though his country was small and weak, he launched attacks in every direction. The last heroic spirit of the Han men of the northwest should have been spent in his reckless warmongering. But when Guiyi Army artisans carved a new cave into the cliffs at Dunhuang, they unexpectedly unearthed a fully armed Tang officer. He was still alive! He was a transmigrator; a veteran of the prosperous Tang who had won countless battles; a general who died in Dunhuang during the Tang's golden age; a miracle who had tried with all his heart to save the Tang during the Tianbao era, only to be framed and killed, yet survived until the dynasty fell thanks to the special constitution of a transmigrator. The golden age was gone, and old friends had passed away. Dunhuang was torn by infighting, Guazhou and Shazhou were exhausted. The Great Tang had fallen, so where should loyalty now lie? Times changed, and the banners of the Guiyi Army spread across the Western Regions. The veteran would not die: he raised his blade, spurred his horse, and raced over the Tianshan Mountains.
