Cancer: the Awakener

On the seventh day after the first meteorite crashed into the Mariana Trench, cancer patients around the world began to buzz. The alveoli of lung cancer patients bloom like rust-colored flowers in CT images, the abdominal cavities of liver cancer patients surge with sticky dark green serous fluid, and the cancer cells of pancreatic cancer patients gnaw at the spine like living creatures - they are no longer disorderly proliferating cell clusters, but "seeds" awakened by some extraterrestrial force. The first mutant appeared at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo. An old man with advanced gastric cancer burst his hospital bed amidst the screams of the monitor. Monsters called "cancers" retain some of the characteristics of their hosts, but have the power to tear steel and the instinct to devour life. In this catastrophe, a few cancer patients who have not become cancer have awakened completely different powers: some can control their own cells to repair broken limbs, some can sense the location of cancerous people, and some people's blood can burn those monsters. This is not doomsday, but sifting. What extraterrestrial beings want is never destruction, but "evolution." And Chen Mo knows that if he wants to survive and regain the devoured humanity, he must become the "cancer cells" of those monsters - using the power they give to completely kill this cancer.
