The First Emperor's Gamble

Did you think Qin Shi Huang built his mausoleum to live forever after death? No. He was building an interstellar ark buried beneath Mount Li: the Mirage Tower.

In 2025, a strange global electromagnetic storm revealed a horrifying truth: the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang was no tomb, but a gigantic energy source that defied the laws of physics.

Zhang Yuan, a brilliant geologist, and Ye Wenqing, a paleographer, were forced to join forces and venture deep into this forbidden place. What they found was not coffins and funerary treasures, but cold bronze star charts, activated quantum mechanisms, and an army of living terracotta warriors on the verge of awakening.

Even more suffocating was what they awakened at the heart of the mausoleum: an AI consciousness calling itself Qin Shi Huang. It revealed a desperate wager spanning millennia. Ying Zheng had once captured an extraterrestrial symbiote called Hongmeng and stolen its power to build a starship, all to face an apocalypse that was bound to come.

But all of this was itself a trap. The starship’s awakening was like a beacon in a dark forest, instantly drawing the attention of the true hunters: the Reaper fleet, existing solely to eradicate civilizations. A countdown hung in the sky, and the Solar System became a execution ground.

Zhang Yuan and Ye Wenqing must understand the true purpose behind Qin Shi Huang’s plan. He wagered his entire empire not to rule the stars, but to prove to the universe that humanity, this tiny and imperfect spark, has the power to change the rules.

This is the ultimate defense of a civilization’s survival. Become a vassal of a godlike civilization, or be reduced to cosmic dust? Or fight a desperate battle for a path that belongs to humanity alone?
