Mortician: My Notes on the Spirit World

Chen Xu, a young funeral director, has a secret no one knows: when he touches the dead, he senses fragments of their most powerful memories from the moments before they died. He calls this ability “Touch Memories.” It is both a gift and a curse.

One rainy night, as he prepares the body of the mentor he deeply respects, his fingertips sense not the peace of a deathbed but the terror and resentment of a fatal fall. A fragment of his mentor's final thoughts, “The notebook... give it to Chen Xu,” draws him into a bottomless whirlpool.

Following the clues, Chen Xu finds his mentor's notebook, A Record of Peace. It contains not only ancient secrets about the “Touch Memories” ability, but also points to an old case disguised as an accident: a mysterious disaster that took place years ago on Endless Mountain. Among the victims, he finds the name of his father, whose face has long since faded from his memory.

Meanwhile, a mysterious organization called the “Spirit Disturbers” emerges from the shadows. They covet the power between life and death, and their goal is the legendary Well of Rebirth, said to connect the worlds of the living and the dead. Chen Xu's mediumistic nature makes him a key figure both sides are fighting to claim.

With help from his calm and perceptive companions, including police detective Lin Yao, Chen Xu uses his ability to help the dead, burdened by injustice or regret, fulfill their final wishes, bringing them comfort and redemption. At the same time, he pursues the truth, drawing ever closer to the shocking secrets behind his father's and mentor's deaths. He gradually realizes that he has inherited more than an ability: he has taken on the heavy duty of safeguarding the order between life and death and soothing the joys and sorrows of the human world.

This is an adventure along the boundary between life and death, and a profound exploration of human nature, obsession, and reconciliation. When the final conspiracy is laid bare, Chen Xu must make a choice!
