Shadow River City

The Battle of Songhu broke out in August 1937, and Shanghai entered the "isolated island period" after its fall. The Japanese army, the puppet regime, the Nationalist Government's military command, the underground party of the Chinese Communist Party, and foreign concession forces intertwined in the Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Wuhan areas. The story spans from 1937 to 1945, using major historical events such as the Battle of Songhu, the Battle of Nanjing, the Battle of Wuhan, and the Battle of Henan, Hunan, and Guangxi as nodes to show the life-and-death contest on the intelligence front during the Anti-Japanese War.
