Shattering the Wilderness: The Beginning of All Worlds

In the Primordial Ancestral Realm, the origin of all laws, young Shi Lan is the greatest prodigy of the ancient Stone Clan. He also bears a secret unique throughout the ages: he can sense and descend into the countless lesser worlds beneath his own.

In the Ancestral Realm, his talent is peerless. Across the myriad worlds, he is like a passing ghost, playing the part of an ordinary mortal in each lower realm and experiencing the joys and sorrows of countless lives. He once thought this was merely a shortcut to cultivation unique to him. But when a family conspiracy leaves his cultivation utterly destroyed, he discovers in his darkest hour that every time he transmigrates, he steals a spark of life for a universe on the verge of extinction.

The lofty Primordial Ancestral Realm, it turns out, is not the starting point of the myriad worlds, but the final "tomb" of the previous epoch. The ultimate "Return to Ruins" is coming, and everything will return to nothingness. Shi Lan is the sole "variable" in this cycle of despair.

To break the deadlock and protect the countless beings of the lower realms he has seen, Shi Lan embarks on a path defying heaven. He traverses the myriad worlds, spreads his teachings across the sea of stars, and rallies an alliance to fight the ancient, powerful clans of the Ancestral Realm and the merciless fate that drives the world toward destruction!

When at last he stands at the end of all things, facing the iron law of the epoch's cycle, he chooses to burn himself away.

"My bones will build the mountains and rivers of a new epoch; my blood will open a path forward for all living things."

And so, upon his fallen body, a brand-new world called "Perfect"... is born. Countless years later, a boy from the Great Wilderness walks out of Stone Village. On a dying planet, a young man named Ye Fan boards a Nine-Dragon Coffin.

This is the end of the old gods, and also... the beginning of the Heavenly Emperor's legend.
