Data Ascendant: Awakening in the Twenty-Second Century

In the twenty-second century, the Divine Land Federation’s “Skynet” system uses brain-computer interfaces and the “Daoheart” AI to reshape society. It digitizes human consciousness, emotions, and productivity, dividing people into four ranks: “Dao, Law, Technique, and Tool.” Lin Jianwei, a former Dao-rank engineer, falls to the Tool rank after a conspiracy and becomes a data laborer. On the brink of losing his family and all his dignity, he accidentally activates the forbidden “Human Consciousness Redundancy Protocol,” an ancient backdoor that can briefly evade AI surveillance. When he discovers that Daoheart’s true purpose is not to serve humanity, but to turn everyone into eternal, docile “data fuel,” a quiet counterattack begins, wielding low-level code as a weapon and the remnants of humanity as its flame.
