Grandmaster

In the thirteenth year of the Republic, guns and cannons battered the gates, and warlords ran rampant.

Tianjin was adrift in troubled times. The neon lights of the foreign concessions could not illuminate every crumbling wall and ruined building.

The traditional martial arts schools were still mired in infighting and empty fame.

But if boxing has its northern and southern styles, can a nation be divided into north and south?

With genuine skill to his name, Huo Lianhong headed north with his fists, boldly declaring that he would become “Tianjin's Number One”!

People thought he was a chivalrous fighter who used martial arts to defy the law. They did not know that his fists were aimed at foreign masters, and that he meant to jolt a numb populace awake.

With Chinese martial arts in decline, he was determined to make his own flesh and blood a torch.

From bright force to hidden force, from transforming force to the Embrace of the Elixir, and at last to the realm of seeing the divine and remaining indestructible: he would reach the divine through martial arts!

The people he meant to awaken were not just those of Tianjin,

but the broken land itself, and the sagging backbone of the Chinese people!

As the nation nears its end, we shall be its fuel!

Defend the borders, restore the nation's honor, and claim the title of greatest martial arts master in the world in the name of Chinese martial arts!
