A Folklore Professor at University

“If you could choose again, would you still take this path?” The old man behind the desk in the president’s office at Mystery University looked at Vincent through his glasses and asked. “Yes. I would still choose this path.” Vincent sat up straight and answered earnestly. “Then why?” “Someone once told me, ‘I’d rather be painfully clear-headed than live in a daze.’” “What’s so bad about living in a daze?” “Exactly. There’s nothing wrong with it… It’s just that we don’t have the chance to stay in a daze forever, President…” The old man behind the desk asked no more questions. He simply gazed out the window in silence.
