The First Sword of Chang'an

In the 14th year of Tianbao, on the eve of An Lushan's revolt, Pei Twelve, the "first sword of Chang'an", was attacked in Yongxingfang. He received a secret message "Killing the imperial concubine will save the Tang Dynasty", and he was involved in the whirlpool of troubled times ever since. He noticed the corruption in the prosperous age of Chang'an, and during the period of special service in the palace, he discovered that the tribute lychees contained poisonous needles, which actually implicated the disciple Ah Qi who was expelled from the school three years ago. On the way, he discovered that Shou Wang Li Mao was one of the masterminds behind the scenes. He colluded with Yong Wang Li Lin in order to seize power in troubled times. Pei Twelve experienced the dangerous roads of Shu, was chased by Jiangling, fled with Ah Qi, witnessed King Yong killing innocent people indiscriminately, and became determined to reveal the truth. In the end, Pei Twelve was seriously injured and still asked to fight. He helped Guo Ziyi defend Xiangyang and set up an ambush to retreat the enemy, but he died because the oil ran out and the lamp dried up. Ah Qi inherited his legacy and exposed the conspiracies of the kings with his testimony. Guo Ziyi quelled the rebellion of King Yong, and Pei Twelve was awarded a posthumous gift. His name of loyalty was spread throughout the world. In troubled times, the fire of justice and faith continues.
