The Battle of Reason

The era of interstellar colonization has arrived. In the distant human outpost "Heros", miners dug out an alien relic called "Cocoon" underground that exudes warm light. It generously gives all the knowledge of a long-dead advanced civilization to all those who come close, and establishes a Garden of Eden of knowledge and reason in this land shrouded by night, religion, and industrial waste. The mysterious blind girl "Narcissus" can resonate with her, so she is regarded by the church as the "Sun God" who came to the world. Her childhood playmates heard the news and firmly believed that the knowledge of "cocoon" was a prairie fire against oppression and ignorance. Is this really the case? When the light of the "cocoon" illuminates the ground, the ugliness of human nature is invisible in the face of absolute rationality. Enlightenment is chaos, redemption is destruction. A war over knowledge, two completely different civilizations, ancient ghosts hissing in the darkness. Should we embrace the glorious divine skeleton and become a perfect puppet? Or should we embrace the incomplete humanity and struggle to survive in the eternal darkness? Is knowledge the only salvation or the ultimate plague? The answer lies in the "cocoon".
