Lin Shitou, a young farm boy, accidentally touched the ancient artifact "Measuring the Sky" on the bottom of the river in order to save his hometown during a torrential flood. He was then involved in a destiny vortex related to the order of heaven and earth. After entering the secluded Momen, he held a square ruler in his hand, learned the art of "observation of things", and discerned the rules of all things with a craftsman's heart. From repairing a rain leak to planning a city, from building farming equipment to improving military readiness, Lin Shitou practiced the rules of Momen in the world of fireworks. However, under the calm, undercurrents surged - the greed of local powerful people, the darkness of officialdom, and even the conspiracy that shook the country, all gradually emerged because of the ruler in his hand. When he discovered that the flood was not a natural disaster, but that the barrenness was caused by man-made disasters, and even his mother's illness was related to the secrets of the previous dynasty, Lin Shitou finally understood: the true meaning of choosing a master by measuring the ruler of heaven is not to measure tangible things, but to correct the overturned world.
