Lin Jin transmigrates into the world of The Outcast. With no master or school to turn to, he promptly heads for Biyou Village.

Ma Xianhong: You have a terminal illness too? Did you come here for treatment?

Lin Jin: No. I came to save someone.

Ma Xianhong: Who?

Lin Jin: You.

Ma Xianhong: Lin Jin, I have a grand plan! I can help ordinary people everywhere become like us!

Lin Jin: Xianhong, your intentions are good. But first, maybe don't set out just yet...

With Ma Xianhong refusing to listen, Lin Jin can only plot in secret.

Later, Ma Xianhong is still the leader of the New Jie sect;

but no one knows that Ma Xianhong is just a blade.

And Lin Jin is the ghost who wields it.
