You Were Supposed to Mediate the Dispute, So Why Are You Slapping on Handcuffs?

Lin Feng joins a legal education program as a community mediator, livestreaming dispute resolutions. Everyone thinks the job is unbearably dull. That is, until he faces his first couple: the wife accuses her husband of squandering their money. Lin Feng glances at the [true thoughts] displayed by the System and says to the wife, “Cut the act. Do I have to read out the address of the apartment you bought for your lover with the marital assets you siphoned away, live on stream?” The wife collapses in terror on the spot, and the case instantly turns criminal. In the next session, a mother and son are at each other's throats over property. Lin Feng sneers at the son. “Your mother isn't even dead yet, and you're already rushing to sell the house so you can win back your losses in Macau? That stack of IOUs in the third drawer of your bedside table is enough to get you how many years?” The son drops to his knees and kowtows to his mother. When an influencer couple comes in to stir up publicity, Lin Feng flips the table. “You two got your scripts mixed up! You each got divorced just last month, and now you're pretending to be a couple for views? Want me to pull up the civil registry records?” The livestream audience explodes, and the ratings crush every other variety show airing at the same time! Viewers: “What kind of mediation is this? It's a shortcut straight to prison!” The show's director: “Lin Feng! Please, try acting like a human being!”
