After the "Shattered War", humans were imprisoned in dome cities and relied on artificial intelligence to "fairly" distribute survival resources. On his fifteenth birthday, young Ling received a helmet that connected to the virtual world "Data Ark". The brilliance and freedom there became his only desire to escape from the pale reality. However, behind the virtual paradise are the class barriers built by "digital elements". During the struggle, Ling accidentally awakened the "Whisper of the Void" ability, which allowed him to sense the nature of data flow. However, he was targeted by the "Grave Digger" organization and federal researcher Ella, and fell into a crisis on both sides of the virtual and real. The physical strengthening brought about by the synchronized data warehouse and the self-fragmentation caused by cognitive dissonance made him question: What is the real self? When the conflict between the "Grave Digger" and the federal forces dragged him into a desperate situation, Ling finally realized that true strength lies in integrating virtual and real experiences and adhering to independent will. He risked everything and used the "Whisper of the Void" to communicate with the core of the "Data Ark" and used the "Observer Protocol" to force "Fairness" to intervene and break free from the shackles of fate. In the end, Ling no longer regards virtuality as an escape, but walks between reality and data with his sober self, becoming a glimmer of light looking for the future in the torrent of civilization's survival.
