The Mystical Matriarch Has Arrived to Restore the Daoist Tradition

[Metaphysics + Crime Mystery + Episodic Stories + Face-Slapping and Scum-Bashing + Feel-Good Fiction + A Few Secret Identities + Ensemble Cast] To maintain order between the realms of yin and yang, Yan Zhao leads three thousand Daoist sects in suppressing evil spirits, using her own body to form a formation and subdue ten thousand ghosts. When she opens her eyes again, she has arrived seventy-two years in the future. Her disciples have all become white-haired old Daoists, either sick or crippled, and the Xuanchasi has fallen into internal corruption and is under threat from all sides. The Xuanchasi is short-staffed, with only the old, weak, sick, and disabled left. Its investigations are inefficient, its funding is inadequate, and its technology has stagnated... Every core disciple of the Xuanchasi is on the verge of turning evil. Her disciples' Daoist skills are feeble, the ancestral master's statue has been stolen, the library has been sold off, and they are mocked by all sorts of people. Problems abound. Yan Zhao: “??? What on earth is going on?” Not long after returning to the Xuanchasi, Yan Zhao is surrounded by victims and unscrupulous merchants. Before her old disciple can even stammer out a word, Yan Zhao casually tosses out a demon, frightening the crowd into submission. “I opened this mountain, and I planted these trees. If you dare set your sights on the Xuanchasi, go ask the King of Hell if he approves!” The Daoist disciples cheer: “Grandmaster has returned! The Daoist sects are saved!!!” To save the Daoist sects, Yan Zhao wishes she could split into 108 people, becoming a fortune-telling streamer, a folk demon hunter, an exorcist, a private master to the nobility, and more... When the enemy discovers that the person in charge of their longtime foe, the Xuanchasi, is Yan Zhao herself, they cry: “Seventy-two years, and you're still this wicked!” Yan Zhao: “My merits are boundless.”
