Earth OL

Is a civilization worth existing based on efficiency, beauty, or emotion? Earth OL is not an experiment, but an "ICU ward". The real universe is about to be destroyed due to heat death or high-dimensional war. The "upper level" is the civilization of the previous era. They uploaded all human consciousness and ran it in the huge simulator "Earth OL", just to preserve the fire of civilization. The internal fighting in the planning department is essentially a disagreement over "how to rebuild civilization." There are no heroes in this story. We fight, escalating from "resistance to unreasonable rules" to "fighting for the right to define civilization," not because we want to win, but because we don't want to lose those things that the "system" deems "useless" - memories, tears, a bad joke, and the person who is willing to eat late-night snacks with you.
