When the old master of the Shi family’s meat soup shop on Niuxing Street died, his live-in son-in-law immediately found himself a new place to go. He kept claiming it was for the sake of his wife and daughter, and wanted to sell the shop for next to nothing. The problem was, they still owed money to the temple, and the debt collectors would come at the end of the month. What were they going to do?
