Demon Slayer: The Last Ashes

A desperate ending becomes the beginning of revenge. The young Rengoku Akira transmigrates into the world of Demon Slayer, only to witness the Demon Slayer Corps wiped out and Muzan victorious.

At death's door, he becomes the last spark of the Ubuyashiki clan and is sent to the world of Monster Hunter, where time flows differently. Bearing the “Heart of Combat Arts” system, he inherits the Pillars' skills and legacy, and begins training in a land ruled by monstrous beasts.

Beginning with a crushing defeat at the hands of an upper-rank Rathalos, Akira keeps breaking through his limits in life-or-death battles. He hunts monsters, forges elemental katanas from their materials, and evolves his Breathing Style. In the “Inheritance Trials,” he challenges visions of the Pillars and learns the truths behind the various Breathing Styles. In the depths of despair, he also awakens the Demon Slayer Mark, the Bright Red Blade, and the Transparent World.

By the time he has endured the trials and returned from another world, he is no longer the lost young man he once was. He is the final hunter, bearing the will of all who died, and bringing this despairing world the breath that will end everything: “Obliteration.”

This is a tragic revenge spanning worlds, the tale of a man who becomes the fuel that ignites the final blaze to burn the Demon King to ashes.
