The unexplained war inexplicably swept astronomers into the dust of history. The chaos that fell from the sky confirmed the speculation of a certain astronomer who was criticized as deviant. Is Aquamarine a laboratory for advanced civilization or a gladiatorial arena? What kind of civilization is the optical brain? Hundreds of years later, when the Aquamarine Legion traversed the star sea, the renegade astronomer discovered that advanced civilizations were just humble insects seeking to survive, and that the star sea was far more malicious than its splendor.
