The Emperor of the Great Way

Confucius said: "Only the emperor receives orders from heaven, and scholars receive orders from the king. Therefore, if the emperor's order is obedient, the ministers will be obedient; if the emperor's order is disobedient, the ministers will be disobedient. "Poetry" said: 'The magpie is as ginger as the quail is as brave as the quail; when a man is unscrupulous, I regard him as the king.'" The Son of Heaven was born in Chinese farming culture. The ancients carefully recognized the destiny - the Big Dipper pointing to Yin, the earth rejuvenated, and obeyed the destiny to cultivate, and there was a bumper harvest. Therefore, they recognized heaven as their father, obeyed the destiny, and the heaven was strong and self-improving; they recognized the earth as their mother, and they were virtuous and carried things, and they had a bumper harvest. The Son of Heaven is the personification of nature and is considered to be the highest ruler of the universe. All things in the world are descendants of heaven and earth. Heaven is the father, so it is called "Emperor Heaven", and the earth is the mother, so it is called "Hou Tu". Therefore, all mortals are sons of Heaven. According to the patriarchal system, only the eldest son has the right to inherit his father's inheritance, so the emperor is the direct descendant of heaven.
