In order to relieve the pain of obsession in the soul, Hou Tu enlightened Meng Po to make Meng Po soup with water from Wangchuan River by the Naihe Bridge, helping her to put an end to her past and re-enter the reincarnation. The fire of karma burns sins and cleanses the cause and effect; the flowers of the other shore sway and guide new life. When the underworld is founded, it is necessary to suppress the ancient evil spirits entrenched in the Nine Netherworlds, sort out the karma that has been entangled for eternity, and inject a trace of compassion for the common people into the cold rules. The empress Houtu transformed into reincarnation and completed the most fundamental law of life and death between heaven and earth. Since then, the Netherworld has become the cornerstone of maintaining the balance of the three realms, where the souls of the dead return and reincarnation is orderly. This dark world, forged by the sage's great love, operates in eternal silence. It is both the end of the journey of all sentient beings and the starting point of new life.
