Ten Years After My Execution, How Did I Become Ksitigarbha?

Jiang Wuwang transmigrates to the Great Xuan Dynasty, only to face disaster from the start. His parents are murdered, and he is pursued into Jincheng. With no other choice, he enters the secretive executioner trade and becomes a headsman! He thinks this is all his life will amount to, and that he can only wait for death to come, whenever it may be. Then, the moment his first blade falls and blood sprays across the scene, a cold voice rings out in his mind. Execute a remnant of the Canal Gang, receive [Riverbone Pill]. Only then does Jiang Wuwang realize that beheading people can earn him all kinds of rewards. From then on, his blade flashes across the execution ground. Execute a wandering evil doctor, gain [The Way of Medicine], with the power to heal the dead and restore flesh to bare bone. Execute a martial arts expert, gain [Martial Arts Mysteries], with the power to split rivers and seas and shake mountains. Execute a street fortune-teller, unlock [Heavenly Yin Eyes], with the power to distinguish yin from yang and discern demons. Execute a Blood Lotus monk, gain [Wrathful Vajra], with the power to suppress evil... Each rise and fall of the executioner's blade brings not only blood repaid with blood, but also unexpected opportunities. Yet the secrets revealed in the deathbed visions of those he kills grow ever more bizarre along his bloody path. Beneath the canal lurks a vengeful corpse that has not decayed in a century. Buried deep beneath Jincheng is an ancient artifact capable of shaking the dynasty’s fortunes. Even beneath the incense-filled shrines of the capital lie dark secrets that the court and the people alike dare not speak of... The winds of Jincheng sweep across the bloodstains of the execution ground, through the strange and perilous martial world, and across the misery of the age... Along the way, Jiang Wuwang transforms from an executioner into the earthly Ksitigarbha, treading between yin and yang and subduing demons.
