I Was a Big Boss in the Northern Wei Dynasty

The Erzhu family was overthrown, and Emperor Xiaowu was established in 532. However, they broke up due to suspicion and established another Emperor Xiaojing to establish the Eastern Wei Dynasty. Jinyang was used as the overlord to control Luoyang, and the Western Wei Dynasty was at odds with Yuwentai's Western Wei Dynasty for decades.​ The disastrous defeat in Shayuan and the broken jade did not dampen his ambition. He died of illness in Jinyang in 547. After his son Gao Yang established Qi, he was honored as Emperor Shenwu. From a poor scholar in the border town to the founder of the Northern Qi Dynasty, his life was a microcosm of the troubled times of the Northern Dynasty, with machinations and ambitions dancing in the blood and fire, leaving his name in history.
