In the cold winter of Changchun, Niu Chuan, a car repairman, relies on his craftsmanship to make a living. He is ugly and just wants to make a living and stay out of trouble. It tells the story of a soul - a person who stubbornly, clumsily and silently tries to walk out of his own path in a rusty era and a fate like frozen soil.
