Fall from Heaven

Cities have long ceased to be human habitations. On the concrete and steel body, there are veins from the deeper parts of the other world - a cold, slimy, proliferative structure that looks like the fusion of metal and living tissue. They pulsate with dark light, gushing from huge broken pipes, entangling and devouring the remains of skyscrapers. The air is filled with the pungent smell of rust, a mixture of blood, engine oil and some kind of ancient earth. It is also the sweetest prelude to [Rotten Star Fever] - the curse that eroded the main world with the arrival of the alien world fifteen years ago and twisted flesh and blood into something indescribable.
