Battle Armor: Why Am I, a High Schooler, Being Asked to Turn the Tide Like a Veteran?

Origin Beasts have invaded, and humanity fights back in combat armor. This is an era in which armored warriors roam the seas of stars. Seventeen-year-old Xia Yunge stands at a crossroads in life, taking the preliminary exam for military academy, when the Veteran Glory System suddenly arrives. [You spent most of your life fighting across the stars, taking part in countless battles. But luck and talent were never on your side. By the time you were discharged, you were still an unknown foot soldier. After returning to your home planet, you opened a veteran's barbecue joint, but it soon went under due to poor management.] [A wormhole suddenly appeared, and Origin Beasts invaded. Your home planet fell into disaster, leaving devastation and grief in their wake. Countless prodigies and heroes perished beneath the enemy's claws, and your family met the same fate. For revenge, and to protect your home, you look at the old combat armor gathering dust in the warehouse and decide to risk your life and fight once more, restoring the glory of veterans!] [Please reactivate your combat armor. Reward: Veteran's Return Gift Pack.] Xia Yunge was dumbfounded. Hold on, I'm only seventeen! I haven't even gotten into military academy yet. How am I a veteran? And you're saying I'll amount to nothing in this life, then lose my whole family? No way! Xia Yunge took another look at the System's reward and immediately changed his tune. “System, you're right. I'm a veteran. Give me more rewards! This old man's got a big appetite!”
