Emerging writer Xia Zhi, history graduate student Lu Xingyuan and ancient book restorer Qiao Yu'an unexpectedly became connected through a mysterious ancient book "Suhua Lu". The incomplete female biographies in the book were magically resurrected in the hands of three people, giving them the ability to travel through time and space. Since then, they have traveled through history from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the late Republic of China and experienced the lives of ten great women.
