Don't Panic, Your Departed Loved One Hasn't Gone Far

At a secluded bed-and-breakfast, Zhou Jinhuai plans to spend a special day alone: his birthday, which also marks one year since his girlfriend Xiaoya died. At midnight, a mysterious rose and a strange card appear, shattering his peace. “Surprised? Didn’t see that coming? Happy birthday.” The most chilling part is that the sender claims to be his dead girlfriend. As terror washes over him, Zhou Jinhuai is forced to search for the truth. A pinhole camera, a suspicious landlord, late-night knocks at the door, scheduled emails Xiaoya set up before her death... Behind the layers of mystery lies the truth about the “accidental fall” a year ago. Who is the real killer? Who is the “watcher” lurking in the shadows? As the shadow of death draws near once more, Zhou Ming discovers he has been caught in a carefully laid trap, one of revenge and redemption that spans the boundary between life and death. This is a thriller about love and betrayal, lies and truth. In this nightmare of a race against time, Zhou Ming must not only uncover the truth about his beloved’s death, but also face a cruel choice: flee this place rife with danger, or stay and fulfill Xiaoya’s unfinished wish? Some loves cannot be severed, not even by death! Some people never truly leave, even when they’re gone!
