Pianist Yan tide has enviable talent and skills, but is always trapped in a cage of perfection. The tinnitus and anxiety after every performance are shadows she cannot escape. Until one rainy night, she met Shen Mo, a former music producer who was deafened by a fire, a man who could "hear" the essence of music using vibration and touch. He bluntly calls her playing "hollow perfection," while she resists yet is fascinated by the way he perceives the world. Shen Mo invited Yan tide to participate in his special music therapy.
