Water and Fire

After graduating from college, I met him again. He returned to his hometown and inherited his parents' bun stall. The difference from his memory is that he is no longer as high-spirited, unrestrained and romantic as he was in high school. What often hangs on his face now is the sense of devastation that comes after the beauty of the epiphyllum has exhausted its ten-year accumulation. It was obvious that he tried his best to greet every guest politely, but most of the guests had had enough of his clumsy performance with a smile on his face. It's like he doesn't belong there.
