Raindrops on the Rivers and Lakes

Wanderers roam the jianghu and laugh,

As bloody storms rend hearts apart.

The jianghu's tales are sung through the land,

As blades flash and each fights for himself.

The staff rises from Lingjiu; monks and arhats cultivate themselves.

The sword returns to Zixiao; I roam free and live for my own joy.

A jianghu tale is like this poem, complete and utter nonsense.

A jianghu tale is like its author, with no idea what it's about.

To the young, the jianghu means settling scores and savoring revenge.

To those in middle age, it means navigating human relationships.

To the old, it means realizing that desire comes to nothing.
