The Silver Age: Chengdu

Welcome to Yuewen's website, where you can read more of my work! I write novels, poetry, essays, and miscellaneous pieces. My novels include Dragon in Prosperity, The Dragon Brings Peace to the World, Together We Roam the World, The Dragon's Return, and Twin Autumn Mountain, with a combined total of around three million words. I have also published more than ten poetry collections, essays, and prose collections, including The Golden Age, The Silver Age, A Thousand and One Nights of the Ear, Heaven's Dance, Qing's Collection of Time, Mo Xuan's Collection, Light of the Snowlands, and The Roar of Huarui, totaling around 300,000 words. With delicate, profound prose, this work plays a moving symphony of life and the land on which it depends. Each page is like a fragment of time, carefully arranged into a vivid portrait of home, growth, and existence that draws readers in and gives them food for thought. Throughout the work, the author deftly shifts between the intimate and the expansive, seeking balance in the relationship between individuals and the world around them. Its close attention to subtle philosophical questions is matched by a sure grasp of grand, sweeping scenes, giving the work both depth and breadth. The work traces the course of a life, from the fervor of youth to moments frozen in time and the minutiae of daily life, ultimately bringing everything together in a meditation on what it means to live. A longing for beautiful things, the cherishing of sincere bonds, and reverence for solemn moments give the experience of life a profound weight. Nature serves as an important vessel for emotion. Each landscape reflects different feelings and echoes the character of its region, creating a distinctive atmosphere. The invitations woven through these scenes lead longing and reflection into a deeper dialogue with the land and the self.
