After Saving Her, I Walked Away

Su Yu seemed to have found a new muse. She had never painted portraits, yet she secretly hid a painting of him in her studio. When I saw the portrait covered with red cloth, I called out to the System, which had been on standby for three years. “I regret it. I want to leave this world.” Su Yu urged me time and again to hand over control of the gallery to the newcomer. She said she’d give it back to me once he helped her through this difficult time. I smiled and agreed, but made one request: I wanted her to paint my portrait. At a press conference, a reporter asked how she felt about my sudden death. Her face turned even grimmer than it had been when I died. The internationally acclaimed artist never picked up a paintbrush again after seeing my portrait at the funeral.
