Possessing the Empress Makes Me a Saint? But I'm Ruthless and Decisive

After waking up, Ye Shen discovered that he had transmigrated to the Wu Dynasty, his soul inhabiting the body of the sleeping Empress Ning Hongyan. What a dream start! But Ye Shen soon realized something was wrong. Although the Wu Dynasty was powerful, corrupt officials and treacherous ministers held sway within its borders, too numerous to count. Beyond them were countless sects, using martial force to throw the country into chaos. Provincial governors commanded their own armies and grew increasingly independent, while the empress's relatives were plotting rebellion. And foreign tribes watched hungrily from the sidelines! Empress Ning Hongyan was absorbed in her cultivation and paid little attention to state affairs. She was also indecisive and excessively softhearted, allowing corrupt officials and powerful ministers to act without restraint. The government was in disarray, and she had no way to realize her ambitions for governing the country. That was when Ye Shen discovered that he had awakened the [Strongest Statecraft System]. As long as he raised the Wu Dynasty's national fortune, he could ascend to immortality? Ye Shen thought, There really is such a good deal? I'll handle the killing. The empress can take the blame. Some time later, when the empress awoke from her deep sleep, she found that the civil and military officials filling the court looked at her with nothing but fear. But she soon discovered an even more serious problem. Where was my second brother, the one who nagged me every day to abdicate in his favor? Where was the chancellor, The Outcast, who opposed my policies at every turn and stood second only to me? Didn't those sects cause chaos with their martial force every day? Why had they all quieted down lately? And what happened to those scholars who kept saying women couldn't be emperors? Why had they all gone silent? Her second brother had been torn apart by five horses, the chancellor had been cut to pieces, nine out of every ten sects had been wiped out, and the Confucian Temple had been burned to the ground. What had happened to this world? At that moment, Ning Hongyan was stunned. My ministers, did I really just take a nap? And why are you all backing away? Am I really that frightening?
