And so the colorful galaxy ushered in a cybernetic cultivation era where people could suck stars dry and crush gamma-ray bursts in their claws. “The laws of physics are the bedrock on which the material universe runs.” Russell, now seated upon the Throne of All Machines, was about to raze the fertile soil that sustained psychic power and, while he was at it, slam the lid on the Warp for good, when the four Chaos Gods cornered him: “Come on, tell us what else you've been up to!” Russell: “I... brought the Emperor back to life...” The Four Gods: “...You can lose at cards, but the sneaky bastard has to die!” On that day, the man who had been benched for ten thousand years returned. The whole galaxy erupted in turmoil, its voices echoing in stark opposition across the highest heavens: “Long live the God-Emperor! / Death to the False Emperor!!!” Only Russell gazed solemnly up at the cold sun rising over Terra.
