We've Transmigrated, So Why Not Set the Entertainment Industry Straight?

“Music tailors” run rampant, and so-called professional singers don't even know the notes on a guitar.

One even managed to win a Mandarin pop music award with a song sung entirely in English!

Veterans of the music industry could only sigh. The Mandarin music scene had become a disgrace.

The film industry was just as rotten to the core.

Especially those traffic stars, who command huge fees but have no talent whatsoever.

Can they only recite their lines as “one, two, three, four, five, six, seven”?

Can't they do any martial arts moves, relying on slow motion and stunt doubles for everything?

Do they cry and demand a hospital visit over a splinter in their finger, then throw their weight around and make the entire crew wait for them?

It was bad enough that the inferior drove out the good.

But one TV host even knelt before a popular singer from Korea!

The Mandarin music scene was all but dead, and the film industry churned out nothing but trash, earning the world's ridicule.

Gu Yi couldn't stand it anymore!

He'd transmigrated, so why not put the entertainment industry in order?

One song, “East Wind Breaks,” fused five thousand years of civilization with modern pop music!

One song, “You Hide It from Me,” earned him the title of King of the Most Heart-Wrenching Cantonese Love Songs!

One song, “Never Say Give Up,” brought rock music back to life!

One song, “Father,” brought countless listeners to tears in front of their screens!

After entering the film industry, he ditched traffic stars, personally directed and starred in his own films, and recruited talented people from among the public to make Kung Fu, catapulting himself to worldwide fame!

His later film Dying to Survive even led to changes in the social insurance system.

As a post-90s transmigrator, Gu Yi has plenty of nicknames: “Little Prince of Cantonese Songs,” “Godfather of R&B,” “Concert Ticket Scalpers' Nemesis,” “Most Down-to-Earth Best Actor,” “King of Absurdist Comedy Directors,” and more.
